PAUL EMERY was born in Letchworth and started playing the violin at an early age. He went on to study with Gasparian and also singing with Arthur Reckless. Sir Malcolm Sargent took a great interest in him and as a result he founded and conducted a number of Choral and Operatic Societies in the South of England. He is also well known for his writings on music and music criticism. He received much encouragement from Sir Adrian Boult and in the past years has conducted over 300 concerts with Choirs and Orchestras in the South of England. Among the Artists he has collaborated with are Cyril Smith / Phyllis Sellick, Osian Ellis, Ian Wallace, and Owen Brannigan.
